(a) Apply grease, D00633 to the coupling sleeves [5].
(b) Put the tube assembly [51] in its position.
(c) Put the coupling sleeves [5] on the splined couplings [4].
(d) Install the screws [6] to attach the coupling sleeves [5] to the splined couplings [4].
(e) Install the lockwire on the screws [6].

(2) Remove the clamp set, SPL-1726 from the torque tubes.

(3) Install the torque tube guard [52]:
(a) Put the torque tube guard [52] on the tube assembly [51].
(b) Install the bolts [53], washers [54] and nuts [55] that attach the torque tube guard [52].

(4) If a torque tube turned while the torque tubes were disconnected, do this task: Trailing Edge
Flap Drive System Adjustment, TASK 27-51-00-820-802.
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(a) Make sure the pointers for the flap position indicators are in the 40-unit white band.

(4) Use the primary system to retract the flaps, do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Operation
With Primary Control, TASK 27-51-00-860-801.
(a) Make sure the pointers for the flap position indicators are in the UP white band.

1. General

(1) A removal of the flap torque tube support
(2) An installation of the flap torque tube support.

E. Flap Torque Tube Support Removal
SUBTASK 27-51-59-020-001
(1) Disconnect the torque tubes [4] from the support assembly [6]:
(a) Install clamp set, SPL-1726 on the torque tubes [4] inboard and outboard of the support
assembly [6].
(b) Remove the screws [5] that attach the coupling sleeves [3] to the splined couplings [1].
(c) Move the coupling sleeves [3] off the splined couplings [1].

(a) Remove the nuts [15], washers [14], washers [13] and bolts [12] that attach the support
