R  (4) For the spoiler 5: 
R  X=0 +0 +0.5 mm (0.0000 +0.0000 +0.0196 in.) 
R  NOTE : You must do this measurement at the closest point (point where____ 
R  the gap between the spoiler and the flap is the smallest). 
R 
R  (a) Adjustment of the clearance X without tool. 
R  To get the clearance do as follows: 
R  1_  Adjust the servocontrol (Ref. Para. B) in order to measure:
R  X = 4 +0 +0.5 mm (0.1574 +0.0000 +0.0196 in.). 
R  2_  Adjust the servocontrol again (Ref. Para. B) by half a turn
R  clockwise in order to get the clearance. 
R  (b) Adjustment of the clearance X with the SPOILER POSITION CHECK 
R  TOOL (98D27603000001). 
R  1_  Install the SPOILER POSITION CHECK TOOL (98D27603000001) as
R  follows: 
R  - on the upper surface of the wing 
R  - on the trailing edge of the spoiler 
R  - on the axis of the servocontrol.

R  2_  Read the position of the spoiler.
R  3_  Remove the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER
R  (98D27803000000). 
R  4_  Extend the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
R  NOTE : Put the flap and slat control lever to the position 1.____ 
R  5_  Read the new position of the spoiler 5.
R  The difference of positions gives the clearance X. 
R  6_  Retract the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
R  7_  Install the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER
R  (98D27803000000). 
R  8_  If necessary, adjust the servocontrol (Ref. Para. B).
R  Subtask 27-64-00-820-053 
R  B. If the clearance X is not correct, do this adjustment : 
R  (1) Write the clearance X. 
R  (2) Depressurize the hydraulic system that relates to the spoiler you 
R  adjust. 
R  (a) For the spoiler 1 or 5, depressurize the Green hydraulic system 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-864-001). 
R  (b) For the spoiler 2 or 4, depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-24-00-864-001). 
R  (c) For the spoiler 3, depressurize the Blue hydraulic system 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003). 
R  (3) Extend the related spoiler by hand (Ref. TASK 27-60-00-866-002). 
R  (4) On the servocontrol (1), remove the lockwire from the nut (3) and 
R  discard it. 
R  (5) Loosen the nut (3) and release the lockwashers (2).

R  (6) Turn the rod (4) in the related direction (Refer to the NOTE below to 
R  find the number of turns of the rod (4)). 
R  NOTE : If you do one turn of the rod (4), this moves the trailing____ 
R  edge of the spoiler 8 mm (0.3149 in.). 
R  (7) Install the lockwashers (2) and TORQUE the nut (3) to 3 m.daN (22.12 
R  lbf.ft). Do not safety the nut at this time. 
R  (8) Retract the related spoiler by hand (Ref. TASK 27-60-00-866-002). 
R  (9) Pressurize the hydraulic system that relates to the spoiler you 
R  adjust. 
R  (a) For the spoiler 1 or 5, pressurize the Green hydraulic system 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-863-001). 
R  (b) For the spoiler 2 or 4, pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-24-00-863-001). 
R  (c) For the spoiler 3, pressurize the Blue hydraulic system 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003). 
R  (10) Make sure that the clearance X is correct. 
R  (11) Depressurize the hydraulic system that relates to the spoiler you 
R  adjust. 
R  (a) For the spoiler 1 or 5, depressurize the Green hydraulic system 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-864-001). 
R  (b) For the spoiler 2 or 4, depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-24-00-864-001). 
R  (c) For the spoiler 3, depressurize the Blue hydraulic system
