R  A. Install Access Panels 
R  (1) Install the upper trailing-edge access-panels.
 (a) Put the panel (4) in position. 
R  (b) Wet Install the screws (1), (2) and (3) with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005). 
R R  (c) Torque the abovementioned screws to between 25 and 35 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.39 m.daN).

R  (d) Install the washers (11) and the nuts (10).
 NOTE : On access panel 334BT(LH) and/or 344BT(RH) install the____ bolt (26) through the bonding lead (25), the bracket (24), the washer (23) and the nut (22) at two positions. 
R  (2) Install the lower trailing-edge access-panels.
 (a) Put the panel (5) in position. 
R  (b) Wet install the screws (1) and (2) with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005). 
R R  (c) Torque the abovementioned screws to between 25 and 35 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.39 m.daN). 
R  (3) Install the lower trailing-edge hinged-access-panels.
 (a) Put the access panel (6) in position. 
R  (b) Wet install the screws (7), (8) and (9) with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005). 
R R  (c) Torque the abovementioned screws to between 25 and 35 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.39 m.daN). 
R  (d) Install the washers (11) and the nuts (10).
 NOTE : On access panel 334DB(LH) and/or 344DB(RH) install the____ bolt (26) through the bonding lead (25), the bracket (24), the washer (23) and the nut (22) at two positions. 
R  (e) Close the panel (6), and wet install the screws (2) with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005). 
R R  (f) Torque the abovementioned screws to between 25 and 35 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.39 m.daN).

 (1) Clean the gaps around the trailing edge panels with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-008).

 TRIMMABLE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER TIPS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

 1. General.________
 A. The tips of the trimmable horizontal stabilizer (THS) are the left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) outer fairings.
 2. Description.____________ (Ref. Fig. 001)
 A. THS Tips.
 -The tips are made of light alloy. Ribs, which are made of light alloy, make them stronger. The tips are attached to the leading edge rib 25 and to the upper and lower shells of the spar box. Countersunk screws attach them to these components.
 B. Tip Electrical Bonding.
 -For electrical bonding there are bonding plates of light alloy along the mating surfaces of the tips. Each tip has a static discharger.
