Apply STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-003) to the edges of the hinge arm fitting (6).

If the rudder was removed, install the rudder (Ref. TASK 27-21-41-400-001).
NOTE : Do not install the rudder unless a minimum of six hinge arm

fittings are installed.
If the rudder was not removed, you must do as follows:
(a) Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the bushes and install the bushes (8) and (1).
NOTE : Make sure that the lower bush does not fall out.
____
(b)
Install the retaining plate (9) and the washer (10).
(c)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the hinge pin (11).
(d)
Install the hinge pin (11) and the slotted nut (2).
(e)
Use the WRENCHES - NOTCHED, TIGHTENING OF NUTS NSA5454 (SL90-374-7500) and TORQUE the slotted nut (2) to 12.0 m.daN (88.49 lbf.ft).
(f)
Use the TOOL - INSTALLATION, TAB WASHERS STA-LOK NSA5454 (SL90-313-7500) and install the tab washer (3) at the slotted nut (2).
(6) Install the rudder support strut (12) (Ref. TASK 55-36-48-400-001).

C. Install the hinge arm fitting at the rudder bearing No.7. (Ref. Fig. 403/TASK 55-36-41-991-003)
(1) Put the hinge arm fitting (10) and the plate (9) in position and install the Hi-Lock rivets (Ref. ASRM 51-42-11-001).
(2) Put the bonding strap (7) in position and install the screw (8) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(3) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to the edges of the hinge arm fitting (10).
NOTE : Obey the sealant Manufacturers curing time instructions before____ you apply structure paints.
(4) Apply STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-003) to the edges of the hinge arm fitting (10).
(5) If the rudder was removed, install the rudder (Ref. TASK 27-21-41-400-001).
NOTE : Do not install the rudder unless a minimum of six hinge arm____ fittings are installed.

R (6) If the rudder was not removed, you must continue as follows:
R R (a) Make sure that the bushes (4) are in the correct condition (Ref. TASK 27-21-41-200-001).
R (b) If necessary, replace the bushes (4).
R (c) Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the bushes and install the bushes (4).
NOTE : Make sure that the lower bush does not fall out.____
R (d) Install the retaining plate (3).
R (e) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the hinge bolt (1).
R (f) Install the hinge bolt (1) with the washer (2) and the slotted nut (5).
R (g) Use the WRENCHES - NOTCHED, TIGHTENING OF NUTS NSA5454 (SL90-322-5625) and TORQUE the slotted nut (5) to 3.0 m.daN (22.12 lbf.ft).
R (h) Use the TOOL - INSTALLATION, TAB WASHERS STA-LOK NSA5454 (SL90-313-5625) and install the tab washer (6) at the slotted nut (5).

A. Close Access
(1) Close the access of the hinge arm fittings No. 1 thru No. 5.
(a)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(b)
Install the trailing edge access-panels 325BL, 325CL, 325DL, 325BR, 325CR, 325DR (Ref. TASK 55-33-13-400-001).
(c)
Install the rudder fairings 325AL, 325AR (Ref. TASK 53-55-12-400-001).
(d)
Remove the warning notices from the aircraft.
(e)
Remove the access platform(s).
(f)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

B. Close Access
(1) Close the access of the hinge arm fitting No. 6.
(a)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(b)
Install the trailing edge access-panels 325DL, 325EL, 325ER, 325DR (Ref. TASK 55-33-13-400-001).
(c)
Remove the warning notices from the aircraft.
(d)
Remove the access platform(s).
(e)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
