 (9)  Disconnect the coupling nut for the APU fuel line at the bulkhead union (View B, Fig. 401).

_______ SECTION. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FUEL LINE AND THE AIRPLANE STRUCTURE.
 (10) Remove the part of the APU fuel line in the center section.
 (a)  
Disconnect the coupling nut for the fuel line at the interconnect fitting (View C, Fig. 401).

 (b)  
Move the APU fuel line out of the center section.

 (1)  
Put the APU fuel line through the access panel opening for the center tank and the openings in the beams along the spans in the center tank.

Connect the coupling nuts for the APU fuel line.

 (a)  
Tighten the coupling nuts with your fingers only.

 (b)  
Put the line in the correct position.

 (c)  
Install the support clamps (4 locations).

 (d)  
Tighten the coupling nuts.

 (3)  Pressurize the APU fuel line and do a check for leaks.
 (a)  
Go into the No. 1 tank.

 (b)  
Make sure the fuel shutoff valve is closed.

 (c)  
Remove the relief valve from the T-fitting at the 70.85 rib web.

 (d)  
Put a plug in the port at the T-fitting.

 (e)  
Go into the APU compartment.

 (f)  
Disconnect the fuel line at the APU fuel filter.

 (g)  
Attach the air pressure source and the pressure gage to the fitting.

 (h)  
Pressurize the APU fuel line to a maximum pressure of 40 psi.

 (i)  
Keep the pressure on the APU fuel line for a minimum of 5 minutes.

 (j)  
Look for signs of external leakage on all of the connections and the fittings on the APU fuel line.

 (k)  
There must be no leakage.

 (l)  
Release the pressure.
