Make sure the tension in the two cables is balanced.

 (e)  
Remove the rig pins S/B-1 and SB-2.

 Install the lock clips on the turnbuckles for the cables SBA and SBB.

 Adjust the spoiler control cables (Fig. 402):

 (a)  
Install the rig pins A/S-8, A/S-9, A/S-10 and A/S-11 at the flight spoilers (Fig. 405).

 (b)  
Install the rig pins A/S-14 and S/B-2 (Fig. 401).

 (c)  
Remove the cable clamps from the cables.

 (d)  
Adjust the tension in the cables (Fig. 402).

 (e)  
Remove the rig pins A/S-8, A/S-9, A/S-10, A/S-11, A/S-14, and S/B-2.

 (f)  
Turn the aileron control wheel to operate the spoiler control cables.

 (g)  
Make sure the cable tension is in the limits shown in Fig./402.

 (h)  
Install the rig pins A/S-8 thru A/S-11, A/S-14 and S/B-2 to make sure the cables are adjusted correctly.

 (i)  
Remove the rig pins.

 (j)  
Install the lock clips on the turnbuckles

 (k)  
Install the lockwire on the on the turnbuckles.

 Install the ratio changer input rod (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Install the rig pin A/S-14 in the spoiler mixer.

 (b)  
Install the rig pin A/S-3.

 (c)  
If it is necessary, install the rod end on the input rod: 1) Attach the rod end to the input rod. 2) Turn the rod end until you can install the bolt.

 (d)  
Make sure you can see the threads of the rod end through the inspection hole on the input rod.

 (e)  
Tighten the checknuts on the rod end.

 (f)  
Install the bolt to attach the input rod to the input crank with the head up.

 (g)  
Install the nut and washer on the bolt.

 (h)  
Tighten the nut and install the cotter pin.

 (i)  
Remove the rig pins A/S-3 and A/S-14.

 Make sure the output cam on the spoiler mixer is adjusted correctly:

 (a)  
Remove the grease fitting access covers from the spoiler mixer (Fig. 401).

 (b)  
Put the speed brake lever in the DOWN position.

Turn the captain's aileron control wheel counterclockwise 87
 degrees from the neutral position.
Make sure the left cam follower is on the maximum rise part of
 the spoiler mixer cam.

 NOTE: Look at the cam follower through the left grease fitting
