 A.  General
 (1)  The left and the right PCUs operate independently from the separate hydraulic systems. You can do the test of the left and the right PCUs together. Alternatively, you can do the test of one PCU at a time.

Use the trammel bar to set the B dimension at 41.57 |0.01 inches.

Align the trailing edge of the right elevator with the index mark on the tail cone:

 (a)  
Move the captain's control column lightly in longitudinal direction to make sure the control column is in the center. 1) Release the control column.

 (b)  
Move the captain's control column approximately 2 degrees in forward direction. 1) Release the control column. 2) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator aligns

 with the index mark in 0.12 inch.

 (c) (d)  Move the control column approximately 2 degrees aft. 1) Release the control column. 2) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator aligns with the index mark in 0.12 inch.Move the control column lightly in the longitudinal direction to make sure the control column is in the center. 1) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator aligns with the index mark in 0.06 inch.
 (5)  S 715-036Make sure the PCUs are synchronized: (a) Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to OFF and then to ON. (b) Set the FLT CONTROL B switch to OFF and then to ON. (c) Make sure that the inboard end of the elevator trailing edge moves 0.02 inch or less.
 (6)  S 865-037Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to OFF.
 (7)  S 865-054Make sure the FLT CONTROL B switch is in ON.
 (8)  S 865-038Move the captain's control column aft until the control column stops and hold.
 (9)  S 715-039Do a check of the movements of the trailing edge of the right elevator from the index mark: (a) Make sure the elevator trailing edge moves up 14.60 +0.30/-0.55 inches from the index mark.

 Do a check of the movements of the trailing edge of the right elevator tab:

 (a)  
Make sure the tab trailing edge moves down 1.54 |0.12 inch from the elevator trailing edge.

 (11) Move the captain's control column forward until the control column stops and hold.
