Torque the nut (49), until the next slot aligns with the hole to
2.0 m.daN (14.74 lbf.ft) maximum.
(g)
Safety the nut (49) with a new cotter pin (50).
(h)
Tighten the nut (52) against the tab washer (53) and lock with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(i)
Install the bonding strap (55) with the bolt (56) and the washer
(57) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(16)
Install the applicable top cover (24) as follows:
(a) Apply a thin layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) or SEALANTS (Material No. 09-019) to the interfaces of the top cover (24) and the screws (25), but not to the threads.

(b)
Install the top cover (24) with the screws (25).
(c)
Apply a bead of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) into the groove between the top cover (24) and the movable fairing.
(d)
Use CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) and a plastic spatula, to make the bead smooth and level with the fairings.
(17) Install the aft fixed fairing at the track 2 and the track 3 positions as follows:
(a) Apply a thin layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) or SEALANTS (Material No. 09-019) to the interfaces of:
-
the aft fixed fairing
-
the mounting brackets on the flap-track-beam
-
the covers (4)
-
the screws (5)
-
the bolts (6) and (18)
-
the washer (16).
NOTE : Make sure that the threads of the bolts (6) and (18) and
____ the screws (5) stay clean.
(b) Install the aft fixed fairing with the bolts (6) and (18), the washer (16) and the nut (15):
1_ Safety the nut (15) with a new cotter pin (14).
2_ TORQUE the bolts (6) to between 0.65 and 0.75 m.daN (57.52 and
66.37 lbf.in).
(18) Install the aft fixed fairing at the track 4 position as follows:
(a) Apply a thin layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) or SEALANTS (Material No. 09-019) to the interfaces of:
-
the aft fixed fairing
-
the mounting brackets on the flap-track-beam
-
the covers (4)
-
the screws (5)
-
the bolts (6).
NOTE : Make sure that the threads of the bolts (6) and the screws

(b)
Apply a layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-022) to the interfaces of:
-
the spigot (23)
-
the key-hole plate.
(c)
Engage the spigot (23) in its key-hole plate, then install the aft fixed fairing with the bolts (6).
(d)
TORQUE the bolts (6) to between 0.65 and 0.75 m.daN (57.52 and
66.37 lbf.in).
(e)
Install the covers (4) and the screws (5).
(f)
TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.17 and 0.23 m.daN (15.04 and
20.35 lbf.in).
(g)
Apply a thin layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) or SEALANTS (Material No. 09-019) to the interfaces of:
-
the forward fixed fairing
-
the screws (2).
NOTE : Make sure that the threads of the screws (2) stay clean.

(19) Install the applicable bonding straps as follows:
(a)
For the track 2 and the track 3 positions:

For the track 4 position: 1 Hold the forward fixed fairing and install the bonding straps
1_ Hold the forward fixed fairing and install the bonding straps
(1) and (19) with the bolt (13) and the nut (20) (Ref. TASK
20-28-00-912-004).
_ (1) and (21) with the bolt (22) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(20) Install the applicable forward fixed fairing as follows:
(a)
Apply a layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-022) to the interfaces of:
-
the spigot (3)
-
the key-hole plate.
(b)
Engage the spigot (3) into its key-hole plate and move the forward fixed fairing to the rear, then install the bolts (2).
