 c)  Measure the distance between the square and the flat vertical side of the cam track, forward of the fasteners.
 NOTE: If the distance is more than 0.005 inch, Remove

 4)  Tighten the fasteners that attach the cam track to the center fairing.
 5)  Make sure the distance between the fairing track and the cam track is 5.92-5.94 inches. a) Add or remove shims from the fairing tracks if the
 dimension is out of the tolerance. 6) Make sure the distance between the fairing tracks is 11.14-
11.16 inches.
 D.  Install the Center Fairing

 (1)  
Install the center fairing:

 (a)  
Lift the center fairing to near its installed position.

 (b)  
Engage the bellcrank roller with the cam track of the aftflap drive mechanism.

 (c)  
Engage the support arm rollers with the fairing tracks.

 (d)  
Move the center fairing forward and align the center fairing hinge fitting with the flap track fairing support.

 (e)  
Install the bushings and fasteners at the hinge fitting and the fairing support.

 (2)  
At the outboard track center fairing, connect the landing light (Fig. 402):

 (a)  
Connect the rod end on the push/pull cable to the cam arm and the cam follower.

 (b)  
Engage the cam follower with the landing light cam track and install the cam track.

 (c)  
Connect the landing light electrical connector to the landing light.

 (3)  
If you replaced the cam track of the aftflap drive mechanism, do a check of the track alignment:

 (a)  
Remove the aft fairing from the center fairing.

 NOTE: You can see the operation of the bellcrank with the aft

 fairing removed.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL

 (b) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system B: "Pressurize Hydraulic System A, B, or Standby" (Ref 29-15-00/201).
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
_______ TRAILING EDGE FLAPS, THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS AND THE DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (c)  Move the flap control lever to extend and retract the flaps. Carefully monitor the operation of the bellcrank.
 NOTE: Make sure the bellcrank does not touch the cam track
____ during flap operation. If the bellcrank touches the cam track, then adjust the shims at the cam track attach points.
