 Make sure that the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit is disconnected (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

 Make sure that a container is below the hydraulic connections of the hand pump. collect hydraulic fluid.

 A. Preparation for the Installation
 WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
 WARNING : DO NOT GET THE COMPOUND ON YOUR SKIN.

 IF YOU DO:

 -RUB IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN CLOTH
 -WASH THE SKIN WITH SOAP AND RINSE WITH CLEAN WATER.
 (1)
 Remove the old sealant with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a scraper from the attachment angle (3) and the ground service panel (15).

 (2)
 Examine the ground service panel (15) for minor damage and corrosion (Ref. TASK 51-73-00-200-001).

 (3)
 Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013) to the mating surface of the attachment angle (3).

 (4)
 Apply a layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the threads of the screws (1),(12).

 B. Preparation for the Replacement Component
 (1)
 Lubricate the new O-rings (4),(11),(17), the plug (18) and the thread of the unions (10),(5) with HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003).

 (2)
 Remove the blanking caps from the ports A, B and C of the hand pump (16).

 (3)
 Put new O-ring (11) on the union (10).

 Install the union (10) together with the new O-ring (11) in the port C of the hand pump (16) and tighten it with your hand.

 (5)
 Put the new O-ring (4) on the union (5).

 (6)
 Install the union (5) together with the new O-ring (4) in the port A of the hand pump (16) and tighten it with your hand.

 (7)
 Put the new O-ring (17) on the plug (18).

 (8)
 Install the plug (18) together with the new O-ring (17) in the port B of the hand pump (16) and tighten it with your hand.

 (9) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable. Subtask 52-36-11-420-050
 C. Installation of the Hand Pump CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN
_______ YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU USE THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
 CAUTION : YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS

 LUBRICANT.

 (1)
 Put the hand pump (16) through the cut-out of the ground service panel (15) in the position on the riveted angle (14).

 (2)
 Attach the hand pump (16) with the screws (12) and the washers (13) on the riveted angle (14).

 (3)
 Put the attachment angle (3) in position on the ground service panel

 (15) and attach it with the screws (1) and the washers (2).

 (4)
 Install the screws (1) and the washer (2) to attach the hand pump

 (16) on the attachment angle (3).

 (5)
 Make sure that the screws (1),(12) are correctly tightened.

 (6)
 TORQUE the plug (18) to between 1.7 and 1.9 m.daN (12.53 and 14.01 lbf.ft).

 Connect the suction line (8) to the hand pump (16) as follows:
