Connect the end of the BTMS sensor subassembly (5) to the
retainer (6) as follows:
-install the BTMS retainer clip (10) in the holes of the retainer (6).
-bend the ends of the retainer clip (10).
(c)
Install the screw (3) and the washer (4) . TORQUE the screw (3) to 0.57 m.daN (50.44 lbf.in).
(d)
Make sure that the heat shrink sleeve (9) is in the correct condition and connect the electrical connector (2) to the sensor receptacle (1).
(e)
Fold back the end of the sleeve (9) on the connector (2) to cover it fully.

R R R R R R R R R R R R R (f) If the heat shrink sleeve (9) is not in the correct condition, install a new sleeve as follows: - cut a piece of heat shrink sleeve (9) to a length between 52 mm (2.0472 in.) and 58 mm (2.2834 in.). - install the heat shrink sleeve (9) on the electrical connector (2). - connect the electrical connector (2) to the receptacle (1). - move the heat shrink sleeve (9) onto the connector but do not put the sleeve on the milled external part of the connector. - increase the temperature of the heat shrink sleeve to a minimum of 135 deg.C (275.00 deg.F) until you get full shrinking at the backshell only, so that you can disconnect the plug without destruction at the sleeve.
