Engage the insulator bushing (8) into the connector body (9)
(Male contact).
NOTE : Make sure that the counterbored end of the bushing faces
out of the connector body,
-Install the nut (10) on the connector body (9) (Male contact).
-Slide the connector body, with the insulator bushing, over the contact and the support.
-Apply a small fillet of potting compound 1-100HT:D, mixed in accordance with the manufacturers instructions, around the back of the spring washers.
-Lightly coat the threads of connector body with LOCTITE sealant, Grade AA and, using a suitable holding device, TORQUE sleeve to 0.565 m.daN (49.9999 lbf.in).
-Crimp the rear of the sleeve (4) with appropriate tool. The potting compound must be cured as follows before proceeding : 3 hours at 65 deg.C (149.00 deg.F) 1 hour at 121 deg.C (249.80 deg.F) 1 hour at 177 deg.C (350.60 deg.F)
-Brush the shank of the sleeve and the wire on a distance of three inches with SR 529 adhesive thinned with toluol or methyl-ethyl-ketone to a viscosity of 300 P.
-
Install heat shrinkable sleeve (2) against shoulder of sleeve and shrink with a suitable heat gun, do not exceed 357 deg.C
(674.60 deg.F)shrink temperature.

Install the heat shrinkable sleeve (3).
-
Install the spring (1) in the groove at rear of the sleeve (4).

(3) Crimping procedure (Ref. Fig. 011)
-Slide the spring (1) and the sleeve (2) on the wire.
-Strip the wire to the size "A".
-Insert the end of the wire though the bushing (3) and into the contact core (4).
-Crimp the contact core (4) with the required tool.
-Apply a small fillet of potting compound DOW CORNING R-7002 or equivalent inside the bushing (3).
-Insert the contact core (4) fully into the contact body, through the nut (5).
-Increase the wire diameter by adding 19 mm (0.7480 in.) adhesive tape (Material No. 08-032) around the wire.
____NOTE : Make sure that the sleeve (2) can slide freely
-Lightly coat the threads of the sleeve (2) with LOCTITE sealant (Material No. 08-013) and manually tighten the contact body (6).
-Crimp the sleeve (2) with the required tool.
-Wrap KAPTON silicone tape or equivalent around the wire, starting 25 mm (0.9842 in.) from the rear of the ferrule, towards the aft ferrule.
-Slide and tighten fully the spring onto the ferrule.
-Shrink for 3mn between 150 deg.C (302.00 deg.F) and 170 deg.C
(338.00 deg.F).

NOTE : Shrinking is not necessary if the wire is installed on the engine (shrinking will be done by the engine heat when running).
