Attach the lower shaft (25) to the hinge arm (33) with the bolt (24).

 NOTE: Two spaces, one between the teeth on the hinge arm, and
____ the other between the teeth on the shaft, are used to align the hinge arm in the shaft.
 (b)  
Attach the lower shaft (25) to the lower coupling with the bolt.

 (c)  
Fill the hole above the upper bearing (35, between the shaft and the bearing housing) at the lower hinge arm (33) with grease to prevent water go into the bearing.

 (7)  S 214-040Make sure the door flushness tolerances are satisfactory (Ref 52-11-01/501 for Doors 1, or 52-11-09/501 for Door 5).
 (8)  S 824-021Adjust the latch fittings on the serrated plates to align the door, if it is necessary.
 (9)  S 224-022Do an alignment check of the flange holes in the upper and lower couplings (Detail A, Fig. 401).

Install the new lower coupling on the lower shaft (25).

 (e)  
Install the elbow pins (45) and washers (44) in the upper coupling and the new lower coupling.
