Install the lockbolt (6), the washer (7) and the nut (8).

Tighten the nut.

Lubricate all the threads, washer faces, bolt shanks and bushing surfaces with grease immediately before the installation.

Install the thread protector, and put the bolt assembly into the lower drag strut (8) and the universal.

 (c)  
Remove the thread protector and install the washer (17) and the nut (16).

 (d)  
Tighten the nut to 10-15 pound-feet.

 NOTE: Loosen the nut, if it is necessasry, to align the hole
____ for the lockbolt with the castellation.
 (e)  
Install the lockbolt (15), the washer (14) and the nut (13).

 (f)  
Tighten the nut.

apex bolt

universal bolt for the drag strut
