 2)  When SLF data is invalid, the SLF portion of the SLF/VREF numeric display is replaced by a "--".
 (b)  Graphical Display (VREF)
 1)  When VREF is within the range of the speed tape display, it is shown on the speed tape as a green bar along wtih the characters "REF". This coupled display moves along the inside right of the speed tape.
 2)  When the value of VREF is outside the range of the speed tape display, "REF" is parked above the SLF/VREF numerical display and the green bar is not shown.
 3)  If SLF/VREF fails during a landing procedure, the last value of VREF is used.
 (13) V2 (takeoff speed)
 (a)  
V2 is shown on the speed tape as a green bar along wtih the green characters "V2". This coupled display moves along the inside right of the speed tape.

 (b)  
If V2 fails after take-off begins, the last valid value of V2 is used.

 (14)
 Minimum Maneuver Speed

 (a)  
Indicated by a yellow colored tick mark and vertical line.

 (b)  
The line extends from the stick shaker speed to the minimum maneuver speed tick mark.

 (c)  
The minimum maneuver speed tick mark indicates the lowest speed at which maneuver margin to stick shaker activation is provided.

 (d)  
If the stick shaker speed is not in view on the airspeed tape, the yellow line extends up from the bottom of the airspeed tape to the minimum maneuver speed.

 (e)  
If the minimum maneuver speed is not in view on the airspeed tape, the line and tick mark are not displayed.

 (f)  
For NCD or failed FMC minimum maneuver speed, or failed ADC CAS, the tick mark and line are removed.

 

 (15)
 Low Airspeed Alert

 (a)  
The low airspeed alert will turn the airspeed readout box amber when the CAS is below the minimum maneuver speed amber band.

 (b)  
An AIRSPEED LOW caution message shows when the CAS readout box turns amber.

 

 (16)
 Stick Shaker Speed

 (a)  
Displayed by a red and black colored barber pole which extends up from the bottom of the airspeed tape.

 (b)  
The top edge of the barber pole indicates the speed at which the stick shaker is activated.

 (c)  
If the stick shaker speed is not in view on the airspeed tape, the barber pole is not displayed.

 (d)  
If ADC CAS is less than or equal to 35 knots or NCD, and SWC minimum airspeed is NCD, the barber pole is removed.

 (e)  
If ADC CAS is failed, the barber pole is removed.

 (f)  
If SWC minimum airspeed is invalid and ADC CAS is NCD (or normal), the barber pole is removed and the SPD LIM message (Fig. 10C) is displayed.

 

 (17)
 Ground Speed/Mach Readout

 (a)  
ADC mach or FMC/IRU ground speed is displayed below the airspeed tape.

 (b)  
If ADC mach is valid and exceeds 0.40, ADC mach is displayed, otherwise, FMC/IRU ground speed is displayed.

 (c)  
When a transition between the display of mach or ground speed occurs, the new display value is highlighted for ten seconds.

 (d)  
The mach readout is removed for NCD ADC mach or failed ADC CAS.

 (e)  
For failed ADC mach, the mach readout is removed and the MACH flag (Fig. 10C) is displayed.

 (f)  
For NCD or negitive values of FMC/IRU ground speed, the ground speed numeric readout is removed, and only the GS legend is displayed.

 (g)  
For invalid FMC/IRU ground speed, both the ground speed numeric readout and GS legend are removed.

 

 W. Glide Slope Deviation
 (1)  General
 (a)  Deviation is indicated by a diamond shaped pointer which translates along a fixed scale.
