Install the profile support and clamp together with the plates on the rail and nut assembly.

 (6)  To install the end guides at STA 1956:
 (a)  
Put a rail and nut assembly on the rectangular nose of the installed side guide unit.

 (b)  
Put the rectangular nose of the end guide assembly on the rail and nut assembly.

 (c)  
Install the end guide assembly to the aircraft structure using the bolts together with the washers and nuts removed at this location.

 (d)  
Install the adaptor together with the profile attachment on the installed rail and nut assembly.

 F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Push the CAUTION switch-light on the cargo control panel until it stops flashing.

 BULK CARGO COMPARTMENT - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

General

 A.  The bulk cargo compartment located aft of the aft containerized cargo compartment provides stowage for bulk cargo/baggage (Fig. 1). Equipment and furnishings installed in the bulk compartment include insulation blankets, ceiling and sidewall linings, cargo restraint nets and tiedown fittings. A manually operated door located on right side of the fuselage opens inward permitting the handling of packages up to 47 inches high and 44 inches wide.
Insulation Blankets

 A.  Insulation blankets installed in the bulk compartment are identical to the insulation blankets installed in the forward and aft containerized cargo compartments. Refer to 25-52-00/001, Containerized Cargo Compartments for additional information.
Ceiling and Sidewall Linings

 WARNING: THE CEILING LINING PANELS IN THE BULK CARGO COMPARTMENT ARE
_______ DESIGNED TO TEAR AWAY FROM CEILING SUPPORT STRUCTURE AND BLOW DOWNWARD INTO THE COMPARTMENT DURING A RAPID DECOMPRESSION OF THE AIRPLANE. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ONLY A LINING OF CORRECT SPECIFICATION AND THICKNESS BE USED PER ENGINEERING DRAWINGS. NO SUBSTITUTION OF LINING MATERIAL OR FASTENERS OR CHANGE TO DESIGN IS PERMITTED. LINING PANELS SHOULD NOT BE BLOCKED OR RESTRAINED FROM FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED.
 A.  The ceiling and sidewall linings installed in the bulk compartment are similar to the linings installed in the forward and aft containerized cargo compartments. The linings are attached to the airplane structure with screws that penetrate the lining and mate with blind nuts riveted to the structure. Linings are installed on the ceiling, vertical sidewalls and sloping sidewalls of the compartment. The linings are also sealed around the edges with tape.
Cargo Restraint Nets and Tiedowns

 A.  Several cargo restraint nets and a compartment divider net assembly are installed in the bulk compartment. The compartment divider net is located just aft of the aft containerized cargo compartment doorway and spans the width of the compartment separating the bulk and aft cargo compartments. The cargo restraint nets are located in the bulk compartment doorway and also forward and aft of the doorway. The nets span the width of the compartment and are secured to the ceiling, sidewalls and floor panels with tiedown fittings. The tiedown fittings are to receive and hold the attachement devices installed on the nets. The divider net and restraint nets consist of nylon fabric sewn on web straps that attach to the tiedown fittings installed in the ceiling, sidewalls and floor panels in the compartment.
