 (a)  Make sure the guide/stop head smoothly moves to the extended position.

 (2)  Push down on the retraction trigger until the guide/stop head moves to the retracted position then release the pressure on the trigger.

Make sure the retraction movement of the guide/stop head is smooth.

Make sure the guide/stop head retracts to the height of the base.

 G. Side Door Sill Roller/Caster and Guide Assembly Operation Check
 NOTE: The side cargo door must be sufficiently opened to permit
____ deployment of the sill assembly. Refer to 52-32-00/001, Side Cargo Door, for instructions to open the door.

Release the holddown strap at the forward and aft end of the sill assembly.

Lift and fold each sill assembly out and down until the latch shaft for the side cargo door supports it in the extended position.

 (a)  Make sure the sill assembly unfolds smoothly and touches the latch shaft.

 (3)  Push down on the two stowage release plungers at each end of the sill assembly.
 (a)  Make sure the side guides unlock and move smoothly to the extended (vertical) position.
 NOTE: The side guides should lock in the extended position.

Make sure the sill assembly folds smoothly and freely.

 (b)  
Make sure each sill assembly rests firmly on the stowage stops.

 (c)  
Engage the holddown strap at each end of the sill assembly to hold it in the stowed position.

 H. Retractable Lateral Guides Operation Check

 (1)  Operate the release lever for the stowage lock plunger until the lateral guide unlocks and moves to the extended (vertical) position.
 NOTE: The lateral guides do not lock in the extended (vertical)

Make sure the lateral guide is kept below the top of the adjacent casters and rollers in the side door cargo transfer area.
