Make sure you did the Prepare For Input Parameter Test task.

Do this test of the signals from the IRS transfer switch.

 (a)  
Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 4, WORD 21.

 (b)  
Make sure the IRS transfer switch is in the NORM position.

 (c)  
Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester is off.

 (d)  
Set the IRS transfer switch to the BOTH-ON-2 position.

 (e)  
Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester is on.

 (f)  
Put the IRS transfer switch to the NORM position.

Prepare for the test.

 (a)
Make sure the airplane is in the ground mode.

 (b)  
Make sure the three gears are down and locked.

 (c)  
Make sure all the landing gear doors are open.

 (d)  
Install locks on all the landing gear.

 (e)  
Make sure the hydraulic power is off.

Make sure the LEFT GEAR, RIGHT GEAR, AND NOSE GEAR green lights (P2) come on.

 (g)  
Make sure the LEFT GEAR, RIGHT GEAR, and NOSE GEAR red lights (P2) are off.

 (3)  Do this test of the position signals from the landing gear:
 (a)  
Set the portable tester to the SUBFRAMES and WORDS shown in the tables.

 (b)  
Make sure the applicable bit lights for the NOSE GREEN, RH GREEN and LH GREEN landing gear lights goes out.

 (c)  
Make sure the applicable bit light for the RED NOSE, LH RED and RH RED landing gear lights comes on.

 (d)  
Put copper shields between the downlock sensors and the actuators of the proximity switches shown in the tables.

 NOTE: Install one copper shield at a time.

 (e)  
Make sure the applicable green light for the landing gear goes out.

 (f)  
Make sure the applicable red light for the landing gear comes on.

 (g)
