 (c)  Attach the pushrod assembly to the spoiler: 1) Apply the grease to the inner diameter of the bushing
 housing. 2) Install the bolt. 3) Remove the unwanted grease from the bolt and the bushing
 housing. 4) Install the washer and nut on the bolt.
 (d)  Attach the idler crank to the piston rod end: 1) Apply the grease to the inner diameter of the bushing
 housing. 2) Install the bolt. 3) Remove the unwanted grease from the bolt and the bushing
 housing. 4) Install the washer and nut on the bolt.
 (e)  
Tighten the pivot bolt to 350-390 pound-inches.

 (f)  
Tighten the bolts that attach the actuator linkage to the spoiler and the piston rod end to 290-410 pound-inches.

 1.  General_______
 A.  There is one task in this procedure, an inspection of the actuator linkage for the No. 4 and 5 ground spoilers. To do the inspection you measure the inner and outer diameters of the bushings and bolts that attach the linkage.

Procedure

 S 026-002
 (1)  
Remove the actuator linkage for the No. 4 or 5 ground spoiler actuator (Ref 27-62-82/401).

 (2)  
Examine the bushings and bolt that attach the linkage for worn areas (Fig. 601):

 (a)  
Remove the parts.

 (b)  
Use a micrometer to measure the parts.

 (c)  
Compare the dimensions you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 601.

 (d)  
Repair or replace the parts that are not in the tolerance.

 (e)  
Install the parts.
