Remove the lockwire from the nut of the static pressure port (Ref 20-11-28/401).

Remove the static pressure port:

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT TWIST THE STATIC HOSE. YOU CAN CAUSE THE ALTERNATE OR THE DEDICATED STATIC SYSTEM TO OPERATE INCORRECTLY.
 (a)  
Remove the static hose from the pressure port.

 (b)  
Install a dust cap on the static hose.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT CAUSE SCRATCHES ON THE SURFACE
_______ OF THE AIRPLANE. YOU CAN CAUSE THE PORT TO OPERATE INCORRECTLY.
 (c)  
Remove the nut from the static pressure port.

 (d)  
Remove the static pressure port from the installation hole outer surface of the airplane.

Clean and prepare the surface of the airplane for the new sealant to be applied (Ref 51-31-01/201).

Install the static pressure port:

 (a)  
From the external side of the airplane, put the static pressure port in the installation hole.

 (b)  
Align the face of the port with the surface of the airplane.

 (c)  
Hold the port in its position.

 (d)  
From the internal side of the airplane, install the nut of the static pressure port.

 (e)  
Tighten the nut from 250 to 400 pound-inches.

 (3)  
Install the lockwire on the nut (Ref 20-11-28/401).

Shape the surface of the port until it is aligned +0.004/-0.001 inches with the airplane surface.

 (5)  Make sure the surface, 3 inches forward and aft of the port, and the port are aligned by 0.010 inches.
 NOTE: Put a straight edge, that is 6 inches long, horizontally
____ against the center of the port to measure the distance.
