Disconnect the electrical cable or test cable assembly (46) from the tester and the engine.

 (c)  
AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE ETC; Disconnect the leads of the electrical cable or adapter cable assembly (46) from the terminals of the EGT thermocouple probe.

 (d)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE ETC; Disconnect the leads of the electrical cable or adapter cable assembly (46) from the studs of the ETC thermocouple probe.

 (e)  
AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE ETC; Connect the leads of the thermocouple harness to the terminals of the EGT thermocouple probe.

 (f)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE ETC; Connect the leads of the thermocouple harness to the studs of the ETC thermocouple probe.

 (g)  
Connect the electrical harness (47) connector to the receptacle in the upper shroud.

 (h)  
Disconnect the electrical cable or test cable assembly (46) from the electronic speed switch (44) and the harness connector (45).

 (i)  
Connect the electrical connector D1245 (45) to the electronic speed switch (44).

(j)  Connect the electrical connector (37) to the tachometer generator (36).

 CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, FIRE DETECTOR, CLAMPS AND LOWER SHROUD.
 BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
 (7)  Install the lower shroud:
 (a)  
Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud.

 (b)  
Close the shroud latches.

Disconnect the door support rods.

 (b)  
Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door.

 (c)  
Close the APU cowl door.

 (9)  Set the circuit breaker and the switch:

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

 (b)  
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

 6. Fuel Control Unit Acceleration Limiter Valve Opening Pressure Test
__________________________________________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  It is not necessary to do the opening pressure test for the acceleration limiter valve on the fuel control unit after you replace the APU, fuel control unit or bleed air valve. You can use this test for troubleshooting or cracking pressure adjustment of the fuel control unit.

(2)  Some fuel control units have a timed acceleration component. These fuel control units are called Timed Acceleration Fuel Control Units (TAFCU). They can be installed on airplanes with or without the ETC. It is not easy to see the differences between the TAFCU and non-TAFCU fuel control units. The TAFCU component is attached to the fuel control unit at the governor adjustment screw location.
