Continue to put grease into the conduit until you see grease come out of the end of the conduit.

Slowly remove the tube while you continue to put grease into the conduit.

 (f)  Make sure the conduit is completely filled with grease with no air spaces.

 (13) Install the rubber grommet, the nylon grommet, and the conduit nut (Fig. 401).
 (a)  
Go out of the fuel tank.

 (b)  
Put the wires for the float switch through the rubber grommet, the nylon grommet, and the nut for the conduit.

 (c)  
Install the rubber grommet, the nylon grommet, and the conduit nut on the end of the bulkhead fitting on the wing front spar.

 (14) Use an ohmmeter to do a check of the continuity between the float switch and the wires that go to the float switch.
 (a)  
Hold the float switch in the position it has when the fuel tank is full.

 (b)  
Go out of the fuel tank.

 (c)  
Make sure there is no electrical continuity between the float switch and the wires that go to the float switch.

 (d)  
Let the float switch go back to the position for an empty fuel tank.

 (15) Refer to the Wiring Practices Manual (SWPM 20-30-12) to connect the wires that go to the float switch to the applicable airplane wires.
 (a)  
Use the applicable crimp tool to connect the wires
 (SWPM 20-30-12).

 (b)  
Put two layers of tape on the connection to give protection from water and fuel (Fig. 401).

 (16) Install clamps on the wires where it is necessary to attach the wires to the wire bundle forward of the wing front spar.
 (a)  Make sure these wires do not cause a problem with the movement of the leading edge flaps.

 (17) Install the access panels that you removed to get access to the fuel tank.
 (a)  
For the No. 1 tank or the No. 2 tank, do the procedure to install the applicable access panels (AMM 28-11-11/401).

 (b)  
For center tank, do the procedure to install the access panel for the center tank (AMM 28-11-31/401).
