(2) ILS course Pointer (magenta)
This pointer appears on the PFD, when the crew has selected an ILS frequency and course,
and pushed the LS pushbutton.
It is a dagger-shaped symbol on the heading scale.
The ILS course pointer is replaced by digits on the right or left hand of the heading scale (in
a white box) when the ILS course value is outside the displayed portion of the heading scale.
(3) Marker Indications
OM appears in blue, when the aircraft flies over the outer marker.
MM appears in amber, when it flies over the middle marker.
IM appears in white, when it flies over an airways marker beacon or the ILS inner marker.
(4) ILS Message
This flashes amber, when the APPR mode is armed and the ILS display is not selected.

(1) Vertical Deviation Scale and Index
These symbols appear when in approach phase and FINAL mode armed or engaged. They
are displayed until the MDA has been reached. They give the vertical deviation from the
trajectory defined by the FMGC. Each graduation on the index scale represents 100 ft. The
range is plus or minus 200 ft.
Note: If the ILS pushbutton is pressed, glide deviation information has priority over
vertical deviation information. As long as V/DEV display conditions are met, and
the ILS pushbutton is selected, an amber V/DEV message flashes above the glide
scale.
