(c) Loosen the EDP (1) on the mounting pad.
NOTE:____ Loosen the EDP before you disconnect the hoses.
Hydraulic fluid can fall on your hands and on the EDP
when you disconnect the hoses. It is easier to turn the
EDP when there is not hydraulic fluid on it.
(d) Put the container below the EDP (1).
WARNING:_______DO NOT LET THE HYDRAULIC FLUID STAY ON YOUR SKIN. YOU CAN ABSORB POISONOUS MATERIALS FROM THE FLUID THROUGH YOUR SKIN.
CAUTION: IMMEDIATELY CLEAN ALL THE HYDRAULIC FLUID THAT FALLS ON
_______ THE AIRPLANE PARTS. HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE STRUCTURE.
(e) Remove the case drain elbow from the Engine Driven Pump (EDP).
NOTE: This elbow will be installed on the EDP when it is
____ to be connected.
(f) Remove the case drain elbow from the Engine Driven Pump (EDP).
NOTE: This elbow will be installed on the EDP when it is
____ to be connected.
(g) Disconnect the hydraulic supply hose, the hydraulic pressure elbow, and the case drain hose from the EDP (1).
NOTE: The supply hose is larger than the case drain hose
____ All the fittings (except the pump unions, or the pulse dampener, and the case drain elbow) must stay with the hose assemblies when you disconnect them. This includes the pressure check valve and the supply self-sealing disconnect.

(h) Install covers on the hoses and the pump ports to prevent contamination.

Remove the EDP (1):
(a)
Remove the nuts (2).
(b)
Remove the EDP (1).
(c)
Remove the packing (3) from the EDP drive shaft. 1) Discard the packing.
(d)
Remove the gasket (4). 1) Examine the gasket for damage. 2) Replace the gasket if it has damage.
(e)
Make sure the drain valve for the mounting pad seal is open.
(f)
Make sure no debris remains in the accessory gear box mounting pad cavity.

If a new EDP is to be installed, remove these parts from the used EDP:
(a)
The pulsation dampener (5), the packings (6 and 8), and the backup rings (7). 1) Discard the packings.
(b)
The union (9) and the packing (10)
1) Discard the packing.
(c)
The adapter (11), the packings (12 and 14), and the backup ring (13). 1) Discard the packings.

If you replace the EDP for one of the conditions which follow, do the procedure which is necessary to flush the system or replace the filters (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(a)
Mechanical failure.
(b)
Leakage at the shaft seal or the housing seal.
(c)
The EDP became too hot.
