CAUTION: SURFACES YOU CAN SEE FROM THE CABIN MUST NOT HAVE SCRATCHES,
_______ MARKS, OR DENTS. BE CAREFUL WITH THE PARTS OF THIS INSTALLATION. IT IS EASY TO MAKE SCRATCHES OR MARKS ON THESE PARTS.
(1)
Install the trim (4) on the door (3).

(2)
Install the bottom panel (6) on the door (3).
(a)
Put the top edge of the panel below the trim (4).
(b)
Tighten the fasteners (12) on the forward and the aft edges of the panel (6).
(c)
Install the screws (7) at the bottom corners of the panel (6).
(d)
Tighten the screws along the bottom edge of the panel.

Install the top panel (1) on the door (3).
(a)
Put the bottom edge of the top panel below the trim (4).
(b)
Tighten the fasteners (11) on the forward and the aft edges of the panel.
(c)
Install the screws (2) in the top corners of the panel.
(d)
Tighten the screws in the top edge of the panel.

Install the inside handle (9):
(a)
Install shims (25) between the lining and the hub (24) as necessary.

(b)
Apply grease, BMS 3-24, to both sides of the shims (25) as you install them.
(c)
Install the hub (24) and its bolts (27).
(d)
Apply grease, BMS 3-24, to the bolts (27).
(e)
Install the new lockwire as shown on the bolts (27).
(f)
Install the mount on the lining (13).
(g)
Install the foam filler.
(h)
Install the cover (26) on the lining (13).
(i)
Install the inside handle (9) on the hub (24) with the washers, nuts, and cotter pins.
(j)
Install the insert (17) on the inside handle (9).
(k)
Make sure that a minimum clearance of 0.10 inch (2.54 mm) is between the cover (26) and the inside handle (9). 1) If the clearance is less than 0.10 inch (2.54 mm), add
shims.

Install the assist handle (5) on the door.
(a)
Install the bolts (22) , collars (19, 21) and nuts (20) on the bottom panel.
(b)
Put the assist handle on the nuts.
(c)
Use the special tool to tighten the nuts.
(6)
Install the escape slide assembly (AMM 25-61-35/201).
(7)
Close the door.
