A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
-Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released
(the OFF legend is on). R - Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON R legend is off).
-Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system is in position.
(4)
On the ENG panel 115VU:
-Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2) is in position.
(5)
On the HP ground connector:
-Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system is in position.
(6)
On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
-
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
-
Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2) is in position.
(7)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the engine.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the access panel is open:

A. Installation of the Bleed-Air Precooler Exchanger
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Make sure that the surface of the seal (2) that touches the channel
(3) is in the correct position.
(3)
Install the new seal (2) on the lower section of the precooler (5).
(4)
Install the new seal (8) on the upper section of the precooler (5).
(5)
Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(6)
Install the precooler (5) with its new seals (2) and (8) on the inlet (3).
(7)
Make sure that the precooler (5) is in the correct position in relation to the pneumatic lines.
(8) Install the clamps (1) and (4) and tighten them. Subtask 36-11-42-720-050
B. Do this test.
(1)
Remove the warning notice from the HP ground connector.
(2)
Connect an air source to the HP ground connector.
(3)
On the AIR COND panel 30VU, set the X BLEED selector to OPEN.
(4)
Supply a stable pressure of 30 psi (2.07 bar) to the HP ground connector.
(5)
Make sure that there are no leaks at the junctions upstream and downstream of the precooler exchanger on the related engine.

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the access panel:

Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the warning notice(s). Subtask 36-11-42-862-050
B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
