Procedure

 S 034-045
 (1)  
Remove the seal assemblies and the fasteners from the removed air inlet door.

 (2)  
Remove the seal assemblies and the fasteners from the upper and lower edges of the inlet opening.

Install the air inlet door (1):

 (a)  
Set the air inlet door (1) in the air inlet duct.

 (b)  
Temporarily attach the door hinges (3) to the inlet duct with the bolts (4) and the washers (5).

 NOTE: The installed door will have clearance areas of
____ approximately 0.110 inch (2.79 mm) at the upper and lower sides.
 1) Do not tighten the bolts (4) at this time.

Measure the air inlet door:

 (a)  
Hold the door tightly closed.

 (b) Measure and make marks on the door to get a clearance area of
 0.300 inch (7.62 mm) at the upper and lower sides.

 (5)  Adjust the air inlet door (1):
 (a) Remove the air inlet door (1).
 (b) Cut the door to the marks you made in step (7).
 (c) Remove the sharp edges.

 (6)  Attach the door seal (2) with the backup plates, screws, and the
 nuts.

 (7)  Set the air inlet door (1) on the air inlet duct.

 (8)  Attach the door hinges (3) to the air inlet duct with the radius
 filler (6), washers (5), and the bolts (4).

 (9)  Apply the cork compound to the clearance area on the two sides of
 the radius filler (6).
 (a) Make sure the cork compound is between the radius filler (6)
 and the cork sheet, and on top of the radius filler.
 NOTE: The heads of the bolts do not have to have the cork____
