 (5)  Install the link and the container assembly:
 (a) Put the link through the mounting hole in the wall of the air
 inlet duct.
 (b) Put your hand through the mounting hole and attach the link to
 the air inlet door.
 1) Install a lockwire on the nut.

 (6)  Measure the closed door to make sure it correctly aligns with the
 fuselage:
 (a) The door trailing edge must align in 0.060 inches (1.52 mm) or
 less of the inlet lip.
 (b) Adjust the door if it is necessary:
 1) Loosen the large and the small locknuts on the clevis.
 2) Turn the adjustment nut if it is necessary to align the
 door to 0.040 inches (1.02 mm) of the inlet lip.
 3) Tighten the small and the large locknuts on the clevis.

 (7)  Install a lockwire on the large and the small locknuts on the
 clevis.

 (8)  Attach the electrical connector to the actuator container with the
 nylon cord.

 (9)  Close the APU access doors:
 (a) Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars:
 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged.
 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars.
 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.
 (b) Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.
 (c) Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU
 access doors.
 (d) Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU
 compartment firewall.
 (e) Close the APU access doors.
 (f) Close the latches on the APU access doors.

Make sure the APU control switch on the P5 panel is OFF and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Open the APU access doors:

 (a)  
Open the latches on the APU access doors.

 (b)  
Open the APU access doors.

 (c)  
Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

 (3)  Remove the nylon cord that attaches the electrical connector to the actuator container.
