Cut away the inner lining that has peeled away from the foam.

 (b)  
Examine the rigid foam.

Sand the duct joint area to remove any remaining adhesive and contamination.

 (e)  
Use the solvent and a wiping cloth to clean the damaged area.

 (6)  Prepare the Fiberglass cloth:
 (a)  
Cut two pieces of fiberglass cloth 1/2 inch larger on all sides than the damaged area.

 (b)  
Round the corners of the Fiberglass cloth pieces.

 (7)  Prepare the resin.
 E. Repair the Inner Lining

 (1)  Apply a thin, smooth layer of the resin to the damaged area of the duct.
 NOTE: Make sure the area of the resin is a minimum of the size

 and shape of the cloth patch.

Put a piece of cloth on the resin so that it extends beyond the damaged area a minimum of 1/2 inch on all sides.

Soak the Fiberglass cloth with the resin.

Put a piece of plastic sheet on the cloth and press lightly with a squeegee or with your hand.

 NOTE: Make the cloth smooth from the center to the edges of the

 (5)  S 348-187Remove the plastic sheet from the patch and remove unwanted resin with a wiping cloth.
 (6)  S 348-188Follow the same procedure to apply the second piece of cloth.
 (7)  S 348-189Let the resin cure for 24 hours at room temperature.
