 E. Repair the Duct
 S 348-135
 (1)  Apply a thin, smooth layer of resin to the duct where the cloth patch will be applied.
 NOTE: Make sure the area of the resin is a minimum of the size and

 shape of the cloth patch.

Put a piece of cloth on the resin so that it extends beyond the damaged area a minimum of 1/2 inch to all sides.

Soak the Fiberglass cloth with resin.

Put a piece of plastic sheet on the cloth and press lightly with a squeegee or with your hand.

 NOTE: Make the cloth smooth from the center to the edges of the
____ cloth to remove bubbles or wrinkles and to remove unwanted resin.

Remove the plastic sheet from the patch and remove unwanted resin with a wiping cloth.

 8.  Rigid Foam Duct - Structural Repair (Fig. 802)___________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  This procedure gives instructions for making a structural repair to a rigid foam air conditioning duct. A structural repair replaces the rigid foam in the surface of the duct if the damage or deterioration to the rigid foam is greater than 1/4 inch deep and 1 inch long but the inner lining is not damaged.
 B. Consumable Materials
 (1)  
Fiberglass cloth - minimum 0.007 inch thick (MIL-C-9084 Type VIII) -commercially available

 (2)  
Plastic sheet - polyethylene or vinyl (commerically available)

 (3)  
Urethane foam - rigid (BMS 8-133 Type I Grade 20 Form A)

 (4)  
Potting compound - BMS 5-28, Type 19 (Epocast 1619A/B)

 (5)  
Resin - BMS 8-201 Type II (Epocast 50-A)
