 E. Install the Crossbeam Assembly

 (1)  
Do a check for the minimum torque necessary to turn the nuts (AMM 70-20-02/201).

Apply a light layer of grease to the bolts and to the bolt holes in the crossbeam assembly.

 (3)  
If removed before, install the crosspin, bracket, and nut to the right end of the crossbeam (Fig. 201).

 (a)  Tighten the nut to 880-1200 pound-inches
 (100-135 Newton meters).

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE COUNTERSUNK WASHERS AT THE SHOULDER
_______ BOLT HEAD. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, DAMAGE TO THE CROSSBEAM CAN OCCUR.
 (4)  Install the crossbeam assembly to the strut with the bolts, washers, and nuts.
 (a)  
Put the washer below the bolt head so the countersink side faces the bolt head.

 (b)  
Make sure the bolt, washer, and nuts are in the correct position.

 NOTE: You must make sure the bolt heads are pointed in the
____ correct direction. The bolt head should point right or aft.
 (c)  
Tighten the nuts to 250-430 pound-inches (28-47 Newton meters).

 (d)  
The permitted forward and aft freeplay in the left crossbeam to strut fitting joint is 0.002 to 0.014 inches.

 (5)  Attach the outboard and inboard bolt retainers to the structure with the bolts.
 F. Install the Vibration Isolators

 (1)  Install the vibration isolators on the crossbeam assembly
 (Fig. 203).

 (a)  
Install the isolator with the slot for the nut retainer on the inboard side.

 (b)  
Apply the grease to the outside diameter of the bolts and below the bolt heads.

 (c)  
Lubricate the barrel nut threads with the lubricant.

 (d)  At the forward outboard location, install the bolt, two washers and the bonding jumper clip. 1) Put the flat washer below the bolt head so the countersink
 side faces the bolt head.
 NOTE: You must install the clip in the forward direction
____ and turned 15 degrees to the outboard side.
 2) Do not tighten the bolts.
 (e)  At the other three locations, install the bolts and washers. 1) Make sure the countersink side of the washer faces the bolt
 head. 2) Do not tighten the bolts.

 (2)  Tighten each bolt in sequence and turn the bolt one complete turn at a time.
 (a)  
Tighten the bolts to 130-200 pound-inches (14.6-22.5 Newton meters).

 (b)  
Clean all unwanted grease from the bolt heads.

 (c)  
Install a lockwire.
