- install the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).

 - do the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test through the MCDU/CFDS.

 (3) If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test is OK:

 - install a new DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).

 (4) If the fault continues:

 - remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001)

 - open these CBs: 49VU: 158RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/FWD R 49VU: 196RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/MID R 49VU: 172RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/AFT R 121VU: 164RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/R FWD 2001VU: 198RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/R MID 2001VU: 174RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/R AFT

 - make sure that the resistance (line to line) at DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/A15 and connector AA/B15 is between approx. 80 and 120 ohms (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).

 (5) If the resistance (line to line) is between approx. 80 and 120 ohms:

 - make sure that the resistance (line to GND) is not less than 200 ohms (short circuit) between: DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/A15 and GND, DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/B15 and GND. (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)
 (a) If there is no short circuit:
 - remove the DEU-A (200RH16) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001)

 - install the DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DIR-CIDS (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).

 - close these CBs: 49VU: 158RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/FWD R 49VU: 196RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/MID R 49VU: 172RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/AFT R 121VU: 164RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/R FWD 2001VU: 198RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/R MID 2001VU: 174RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/R AFT

 - do the CIDS Interface and POWER-Up test through the MCDU/CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-010).

 1 If the CIDS POWER-UP test gives the maintenance message DEU-A
_
 200RH16:

 - install a new DEU-A (200RH16) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).
 2 If the CIDS POWER-UP test gives the maintenance message CIDS
_
 TOP BUS 1R/ DIR1 (101RH):

 - install the removed DEU-A (200RH16) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).

 - do the steps 4. B. (5) (a) again for the subsequent DEUs until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-A (200RH14) DEU-A (200RH12) DEU-A (200RH10) DEU-A (200RH8) DEU-A (200RH6) DEU-A (200RH4) DEU-A (200RH2)

 (b) If there is a short circuit:
 - remove the DEU-A (200RH16) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001)

 - do a check for a short circuit again.

 1 If there is no short circuit:
_
 - install a new DEU-A (200RH16) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).
 2 If the fault continues:
_
 - disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX (209RH2) (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)

 - do a check for a short circuit again.

 a If there is no short circuit:

 - install a new DEU TERMINATION BOX (209RH2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-43-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-43-400-001).
 b If the fault continues:
_
 - remove the DEU-A (200RH14) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001)

 - do a check for a short circuit again.

 - b.1. If there is no short circuit:

 - install a new DEU-A (200RH14) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).

 - b.2. If the fault continues:

 - install the removed DEU-A (200RH14) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001),

 - reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU TERMINATION BOX (209RH2),

 - disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH14) (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).

 - do a check for a short circuit again.

 - b.2.1. If there is no short circuit:

 - do a check for a short circuit at the connector between pin 9 and GND (pin 11) and between pin 10 and GND (pin 11).

 - b.2.1.1. If there is a short circuit:

 - repair the wiring between the DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH14) and the DEU TERMINATIONBOX (209RH2) (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).

 - b.2.1.2. If there is no short circuit:

 - install a new DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH14) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-42-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-42-400-001).

 - b.2.2. If there is a short circuit:

 - install the removed DEU-A (200RH14) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001),

 - reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH14)

 - do the steps (4. B. (5) (b) 2 b) again for the subsequent DEUs and DEU CONNECTION BOXES until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-A (200RH12) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH12), DEU-A (200RH10) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH10) DEU-A (200RH8) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH8), DEU-A (200RH6) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH6), DEU-A (200RH4) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH4), DEU-A (200RH2) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2),
