 Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-910-002).

 (2)
 Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

 (3)
 Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized. (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

 (4)
 Make sure that the left main gear door is open (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

 (5)
 Make sure that the access door 195BB is open.

 Make sure that the access panel 147BB is open.

 Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:

 -in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel, - on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.

 Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

 Make sure that the RAT is extended (Ref. TASK 29-22-00-869-005).

 Make sure that the protective cover of the RAT compartment is removed.

 4. Procedure

 A. Installation of the RAT Stowed Switch
 (1)
 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (2)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (3)
 Remove the blanking cap from the port of the ejection jack (8).

 (4)
 Remove the protective cap from the electrical connector of the stowed switch (6).

 (5)
 Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.

 (6) Install and adjust the stowed switch (6) as given in the subsequent steps:
 (a)
 Make sure that the ejection jack (8) is fully extended.

 (b)
 Install an ohmmeter between the pins B and C of the electrical connector of the stowed switch (6).

 (c)
 Install the stowed switch (6) in the ejection jack (8) until no continuity is shown on the ohmmeter.

 (d)
 Tighten the stowed switch (6).

 (e)
 Remove the ohmmeter, remove the protective cap from the electical connector (7) and connect the connector (7) to the stowed switch (6).

 (f)
 Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 2801GE, 2803GE, 6XE

 WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE RAT TRAVEL RANGE IS CLEAR BEFORE YOU

 EXTEND/RETRACT THE RAT.
