B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING : OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1)
Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2)
Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3)
Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4)
Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
-in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel, - on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
(5)
Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

(6)
Make sure that the RAT is extended (Ref. TASK 29-22-00-869-001).
(7)
Make sure that the container is in position below the RAT.
4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that all visible parts of the turbine assy (5) and the leg assembly (7) are tight and correctly locked.
(4)
Make sure that all lockwires and tab washers on the attachment parts of the turbine assy (5) and the leg assembly (7) are in correct condition.
(5)
Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the new O-rings (1) and (2).
(6)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-021) to the threads of the studs.
(7)
Install the new O-ring (2) on the spigot of the turbine assy (5).
(8)
Install the new O-ring (1) in the leg assembly (7). Subtask 29-22-51-420-057
B.
Installation of the Turbine Assy of the RAT
(1) Align the holes of the back plate (6) and the studs on the leg assembly (7).
NOTE : Two of the studs are offset.

NOTE : Make sure that the turbine assy (5) stays level when you move

it on to the drive quill.
(2) Install the turbine assy (5) to the leg asssembly (7).

(3)
Install the new tab washer (3) and the nuts (4).
(4)
Attach the ADAPTER - TORQUE (DAH600865) to a torque wrench that is
228.6 mm (9.0000 in.) in length.
(5)
Use the torque wrench and the ADAPTER - TORQUE to tighten the nuts (4).
