E. Put the Aileron Hydraulic Systems A and B Back to the Condition Before Pressure Removal
SUBTASK 27-11-00-080-001
(1) Remove the lock, SPL-1675 from the flight controls shutoff valves for systems A and B:
(a) Remove the lock, SPL-1675 from the shutoff valves.
(b) Before you connect the electrical connectors, examine the connectors for corrosion.
WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
(c) If there was corrosion, refer to (SWPM 20-60-03) to correct the problem.
(d) Apply the D5026NS or ZC-026 compound, G50171 to the connectors (SWPM 20-60-03).
(e) Install electrical connectors on the shutoff valves.

(f) Move the manual override levers on the shutoff valves to position 1.

AILERON - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) An adjustment of the aileron cables
(2) An adjustment of the pogo and power control unit
(3) An adjustment of the aileron balance tab
(4) An adjustment of the aileron feel and centering unit
(5) A check of the aileron system adjustment
(6) A test of the aileron surface friction and motion
(7) A test of the first officer’s control wheel lost motion
(8) A test of the manual reversion control friction
(9) A test of the aileron response (operation)
(10) A test of the control wheel centering check
(11) A test of the aileron control wheel force
(12) A test of the aileron trim response
(13) An operational test of the aileron spring cartridge and transfer mechanism
(14) A functional test of the aileron transfer mechanism
(15) A test of the control wheel travel stop
(16) A test of the control wheel travel interference
(17) A test of the aileron balance tab position
(18) A test of the aileron travel
(19) A functional test of the aileron power control unit (PCU) pogos
(20) A flight test to find and correct asymmetrical flight control forces

2. Aileron Cables Adjustment
A. General
(1) Before you do cable adjustment, permit a minimum of one hour at a constant ambient
temperature of ±58F (±2.88C) for the airframe temperature to become stable.
(a) For the new aileron wing control cables ABSA, ABSB installation, reinspection/
readjustment of the new cables’ tension must be done within 7-9 days. Further inspection/
adjustment should be accomplished within 6 to 9 months of the last cable tension
inspection.
(b) The cable tension values will not be correct when there are temperature differences along
the cable run.
