E. Connect the Fueling Equipment

 (1) Do the operator supplied procedures to position the fuel vehicle.

 CAUTION: OBEY THE PRECAUTIONS IN AMM 20-41-01/201 FOR ATTACHMENT OF
_______ BONDING CABLES. AN ADEQUATE ELECTRICAL BOND MAY NOT EXIST IF THE BONDING CABLES ARE NOT INSTALLED AT APPROVED AIRPLANE GROUND CONNECTIONS. IF THE FUEL SERVICE EQUIPMENT AND AIRPLANE ARE NOT CORRECTLY BONDED, A FIRE OR EXPLOSION CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  
Connect a bonding cable from the fueling source to an approved electrical grounding or bonding connection on the airplane (AMM 20-41-01/201).

 (3)  
Open the access doors, 521BB and 621BB, to get access to the refuel station.

 S 483-007

 (4)  
Connect the bonding cable attached to the refuel nozzle to an approved airplane electrical ground (AMM 20-41-01/201).

 NOTE: The bonding cable is not necessary if there is electrical
____ continuity between the fueling source and the fueling nozzle.

 (5)  Connect the fuel hose to the refuel receptacle adapter:
 (a)  
Remove the refuel receptacle cap.

 (b)  
Make sure there are no fuel leaks.

 (c)  
Make sure the refuel receptacle adapter is clean and not damaged.

 (d)  
Make sure the defuel lever is correctly positioned in the recess for the refuel receptacle adapter.

 (e)  
Connect the refuel nozzle to the refuel receptacle.

 (f)  
Repeat these steps for each fuel hose.

 (6)  Put the manual handle for the FUELING SHUTOFF VALVE to the OPEN position (left and right wing).
 F. Prepare the Refuel Control Panel, P42:

Fully open access door 521CB.

Make sure the panel floodlights come on.

Without ground power, put the POWER switch to the BATT position.

Test the indicator lights:

 (a)  
Push the PRESS TO TEST indicators lights.

 (b)  
Make sure each light comes on when pushed.

 (5)  Test the fuel quantity indicators:
 (a)  
Push and hold the TEST GAGES switch for a minimum of 1 second.

 (b)  
Make sure all the indicator display for the CWT shows 888.8 for 1 second and then go off for 1 second.

 NOTE: The test display will continue to cycle until you
____
 release the switch.

 (c)  
Release the test switch.

 (d)  
Make sure all fuel quantity displays go back to the usual indication.

 G. Prepare the Fuel Sheet
 S 653-018
 (1)  
Record the pre-uplift fuel quantity for each tank.

 (2)  
Calculate the fuel to be uplifted converted to volume.

 (3)  
Record the uplift quantity on the fuel sheet.

 H. Center Wing Tank Preselect Pressure Refuel
 NOTE: To refuel the CWT to a set fuel quantity, do the CWT preselect

 refuel operation.

 S 653-021
 (1)  Do these steps to input the CWT preselect fuel quantity, on the P42 panel:
 (a)  
Set the SELECT QTY thumbwheels to the required CWT fuel quantity.

 (b)  
Move the SET QTY switch to the CTR position and release.

 (c)  
Make sure the CENTER PRESELECT indicator value is the same as the SELECT QTY thumbwheel value.
