B. Installation of the HP Manifold CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN
_______ YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU USE THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION : YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS
_______ LUBRICANT.
(1)
Remove the sealant from the contact surface of the manifold (26) and the aircraft structure with a plastic or wooden scraper.
(2)
Examine the structure of the aircraft in the area of the manifold attachment for cracks, corrosion or other damage.
(3)
Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the contact surface of the manifold (26).
(4)
Remove the blanking plugs from the pipe connections.
(5)
Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(6)
Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the threads of the pipe end-fittings.
(7)
Put the manifold (26) in position on the aircraft.

Install the two bolts (61) and the washers (62).
(9)
Install the two bolts (41) and the nuts (42).
(10)
Connect the tee-connector (1) to the union (3).
(11)
TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (2) to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN (55.30 and 61.20 lbf.ft).
(12)
Connect the pipe (53) to the union (51), but do not tighten the pipe end-fitting (52).
(13)
Connect the pipe (53) to the Blue power accumulator 2070GM and TORQUE the pipe end-fitting to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN (55.30 and 61.20 lbf.ft).
(14)
TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (52) to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN (55.30 and 61.20 lbf.ft).
(15)
Install the pipe (60) between the connector (76) and the check valve 2022GM.
(16)
TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (59),(75) to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN
(55.30 and 61.20 lbf.ft).
(17)
Install the pipe (66) between the port A of the ground leakage-measurement manifold 2146GM and the union (64).
(18)
TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (65),(78) to between 5.4 and 5.9 m.daN
(39.82 and 43.51 lbf.ft).
(19)
Install the pipe (57) between the connector (71) and the union (56).
(20)
TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (56),(70) to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN
(55.30 and 61.20 lbf.ft).
(21)
Install the pipe (9) between the check valve 2055GM (73) and the check valve 2057GM.
(22)
TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (10),(72) to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN
(55.30 and 61.20 lbf.ft).
(23)
Install the pipe (5) between the union (7) and port B of the ground leakage measurement manifold 2146GM.
(24)
TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (6),(77) to between 5.4 and 5.9 m.daN
(39.82 and 43.51 lbf.ft).

Install the pipe (48) between the check valve 2055GM (73) and the union (46).
(26)
TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (47),(74) to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN
(55.30 and 61.20 lbf.ft).
(27)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(28)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(29)
Connect the electrical connectors (20),(29),(32),(33) to the receptacles on the manifold (26).

(a) Remove the HP filter 2048GM as follows: 1 Hold the HP filter 2048GM and remove the bolts (35), (36) and
