R (14) Apply the STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-021) to all of the sealed
R screw heads (2), and the antenna base seal.

R (1) Remove the blanking caps from the coaxial cable connector (3) and the
R antenna connector (4).
R (2) Remove the masking tape from:
R - The coaxial cable (5)
R - The screw holes (2) and (7)
R - The hole for the antenna connecter (4).
R (3) Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct
R condition.
R (4) Put the new O-ring (6) in its correct position, on the base of the
R antenna (8).
R (5) Connect the coaxial cable connector (3) to the antenna connector (4).
R (6) Install the antenna (8) with the screws (2) and (7) at the fuselage
R structure.
R (7) Tighten the screws (2) and (7) diagonally.
R NOTE : The antenna mounting screws (2) and (7) give the electrical____
R bonding between the antenna (8) and the fuselage structure.
R (8) Make sure that the bonding resistance between the antenna (8) and the
R fuselage structure in not more than 5 milliohms (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-
R 912-005).
R (9) Remove the unwanted sealant with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
R (10) Clean the area with the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and a
R lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
R (11) Remove the masking tape from the base of the antenna (8).
R (12) Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to all the screw heads (2)
R and (7).
R (13) Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) around the antenna base.
R (14) Apply the STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-021) to all of the sealed
R screw heads (2) and (7), and the antenna base seal.
