Look to see if there are rigging pin holes in the hook support fitting.

Drill rigging pin holes in the hook support fitting if it is necessary.

 NOTE: Refer to 52-34-00/801 for the procedure to drill rigging pin

 (5)  Put the cargo door hooks in the rigged closed position as follows:
 CAUTION: DO NOT USE MORE THAN 25 POUND-INCHES WHEN YOU MANUALLY SET
_______ THE HOOK ACTUATOR IN THE RIGGED CLOSED POSITION. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 25 POUND-INCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR.
 (a)  Use a torque wrench to manually set the hook actuator in the rigged closed position.
 NOTE: When the torque increase by 25 pound-inches, the
____ internal stops are against each other.
 (b) Turn the torque wrench 2 turns in the opposite direction.
 NOTE: This is the hook rigged closed position.
____
 (c)  
Adjust the lengths of hook pushrods to make sure you can put the rig pin LCD-1 through the rig pin hole in each hook (Fig. 401, View C-C).

 (d)  
Remove the two LCD-1 rig pins.

 (6)  
Install the door restraint solenoid as follows:

 (a)  
With the door restraint arm on the hook torque tube cam, make sure the clearance between the adjustment bolt head and the manual release plunger is 0.010 to 0.020 inch (0.254 to 0.508 mm).

 (b)  
Use the nut on the adjustment bolt to adjust the clearance.

 (c)  
Install and hold the solenoid tightly against the mounting surface.

 (d)  
Make sure the restraint arm is in a position where the clearance between the restraint arm and the torque tube cam lobe is a minimum of 0.050 inch (1.27 mm).

 (e)  
Turn the eyebolt in or out of the solenoid plunger until you can install the attachment bolt through the restraint arm.

 (f)  
Make sure the solenoid plunger is bottomed out in the retracted position (approximately 0.1875 inch (4.7625 mm) inside the solenoid.

 (g)  
Tighten the checknut on the eyebolt.

 (h)  
Install the solenoid.

 NOTE: Make sure the solenoid is tightly installed before you
____
 examine the adjustment.

 (i)  
Connect the restraint arm to the eyebolt with the attachment bolt.

 (j)  
Remove the block between the restraint arm and the hook torque tube cam, if you installed a block.

 (k)  
Fully depress the manual release plunger.

 (l)  
Make sure the clearance between the restraint arm and the torque tube cam is 0.90 to 1.00 inch (22.86 to 25.40 mm).

 (m)  
Install the electrical plug on the solenoid.

 (7)  
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers for the applicable cargo door:

 (a)  
P59 Aft Equipment Panel
 1) AFT CARGO DOOR POWER UNITS

 (b)  
P414 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 414A21 LOWER CARGO DOOR FORWARD
 2) 414F15 CARGO DOOR CONTROL FORWARD
 3) 414F16 CARGO DOOR CONTROL AFT

 (8)  
Close the cargo door.
