Procedure

 S 434-012
 (1)  
If it is necessary, connect the lift links as follows:

 (a)  
Turn the rotary actuator to move the actuator arms until you can install the lift links.

 NOTE: Do not change the length of the lift links.

 (b)  
Attach the lift links to the support fittings.

 (c)  
Tighten the attach bolts from 630 to 1070 pound-inches.

 (d)  
Attach the swivel clamp to the actuator arm (Fig. 402).

 NOTE: The two swivel clamps must be free to turn.

 (e)  For the forward actuator on the aft door, install the two clamps on the bracket (Fig. 402).

 (2)  
Clean the surfaces of the lift actuator and the support bracket that touch each other (AMM 20-11-14/701).

Install the lift actuator on the support bracket with four attach bolts.

Clean the surfaces on the lift actuator and the brace that touch each other (AMM 20-11-14/701).

 (5)  
Attach the brace to the lift actuator with a screw.

Do a check of the electrical resistance between the lift actuator and the support bracket (AMM 20-22-01/601).

 (a)  
Measure the electrical resistance between Point A and Point B (Fig. 401).

 (b)  
Make sure the electrical resistance is not more than 2.5 milliohms.

 (c)  
Do these steps if the electrical resistance is not satisfactory: 1) Remove the lift actuator 2) Clean the surfaces between the lift actuator and the

 support bracket again. 3) Install the lift actuator 4) Do the check of the electrical resistance again.

Push the flexible shaft on the lift actuator (Fig. 401).

If you install a new lift actuator:

 NOTE: Do not install the slotted spring pin through flexible
____ drive shaft and actuator male drive. This pin has been deleted.

Install the torque tubes.

 (a)  
Turn the shaft on the rotary actuator until it engages to open the door.

 (b)  
Hold the rotary actuator in this position.

 (c)  
Put one end of the torque tube in the lift actuator.

 (d)  
Put the adapter tube on the rotary actuator shaft.

 NOTE: The torque tube adaptor can be installed adjacent to
____ the lift actuator or the rotary actuator.
 (e)  Install the bolt through the adapter tube and the torque tube.

 For the forward door, connect the DM0471 electrical connector to the lift actuator.

 For the aft door, connect the DM0453 electrical connector to the lift actuator.
