(4)  S 824-018Make sure the pin in the ball valve is engaged in the hole in the flange of the lower drain tube.
 (5)  S 434-019Install the clamp for the lower connection.
 (6)  S 434-020Tighten the nut for the T-bolt from 45 to 55 inch-pounds.
 (7)  S 224-021Make sure there is not more than 0.14 inch between the flanges at the upper connection.
 (8)  S 864-022Move the sleeve to the center of the connection.
 (9)  S 434-023Install the clamshell clamp.

 BALL VALVE ROD ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the ball valve rod assembly. The second task installs the ball valve rod assembly.
 B.  The ball valve rod assembly is referred to as the rod assembly in the steps of these two tasks.
 C.  Make sure that you read and obey the specified instructions in the Standard Procedures for work with the Toilet Waste and Equipment (AMM 38-32-60/201).

 2.  Ball Valve Rod Assembly Removal (Fig. 401)_______________________________
 A.  Access
 (1)  Location Zone 126 Area Below Fwd Cargo Container Compartment
 B.  Procedure

 (1)  Open this circuit breaker on P414 Power Distribution Panel - Left and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
 (a)  414E19 DRAIN VALVE LAV TANK U-21

 (2)  
Remove the floor panel above the toilet service panel in the area of station 585 and RBL 5.

 (3)  
Measure and record the distance "A" between the top of the jam nut and the top of the rod.

 NOTE: This dimension will be used in the installation procedure.

Disconnect the clevis from the valve arm.

 (5)  
Install the fasteners loosely on the valve arm.

 (6)
Remove the lockwire, clevis and jamnut from the rod assembly.

 (7)  
Pull the rod assembly out of the toilet service panel.
