 D. Install the High Stage Valve
 S 114-014
 (1)  
Use the cleaner to clean the mating surfaces of the high stage valve and the manifold.

 S 964-015

 (2)  
Install a new E-Seal in the flange of the high stage valve.

 S 964-016

 (3)  
Install a new E-Seal in the flange of the manifold.

 S 424-017

 (4)  
Put the high stage valve in the correct position between the manifold and the duct.

 NOTE:____The flow arrow must be in the forward direction. The actuator is above the valve and it is parallel to the engine case.
 S 414-018
 (5)  Install the couplings (Fig. 401).
 (a)  
Tighten the couplings by hand.

 (b)  
Make sure the couplings are aligned with the marks you made in the removal procedure.

 (c)  
Tighten the couplings to 95-110 pound-inches.

 NOTE: Make sure the valve, duct, and manifold are correctly
____
 aligned.

 (6)  S 644-020Lubricate the O-ring.
 (7)  S 434-021Install the O-ring.
 (8)  S 434-022Install the control port reducer.
 (9)  S 644-023Apply a thin layer of the antiseize compound to the external threads of the control port reducer/sense line coupling.

 Install the sense line assembly to the control port reducer.

 Make sure the valve does not touch the other engine components.

 NOTE: The clearance between the forward clamp and the valve
____ actuator must agree with Fig. 401.
 (a)  Make sure the manual lock assembly for the valve is in the condition that follows (see the placard adjacent to the lock): 1) Not locked. 2) Fully retracted. 3) The bolt is tight.
 S 414-026
 WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO CLOSE THE THRUST
_______ REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU CLOSE THE THRUST REVERSERS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (12) Close the thrust reversers (Ref 78-31-00/201).

 Close the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 Do the operational test for the bleed system with the engines on.

 NOTE: The following test requires an engine run to check the
____ duct pressure. You may also use the High Stage Valve and High Stage Regulator - Adjustment/Test (AMM 36-11-85/501) procedure. This Adjustment/Test procedure uses a nitrogen source to check the operation of the high stage valve and regulator.
 (a)  Prepare to do the test. 1) Put all the circuit breakers on the air conditioning panel, P6, to the CLOSED position.
 2)  Make sure the circuit breakers that follow are in the CLOSED position: a) MASTER CAUTION (all except FUEL, if it is installed) b) INDICATOR LTS, MASTER DIM BUS (9 locations) c) DIM & TEST (1 location)
