 (a)  The nominal clearance requirement between the APU supply duct and the access cutout is 0.20 inch.

 (8)  If there is not sufficient clearance between the APU supply duct and the access cutout at the aft pressure bulkhead, do the APU supply duct adjustment procedure.

 (1)  
Loosen all the V-band couplings behind the aft pressure bulkhead, between STA 1042 to STA 1093.

Remove the passenger cabin floor panels located forward of the aft pressure bulkhead near the left aft entry door (AMM 53-21-00/401).

 NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the lavatory or galley
____ compartment to get access to the applicable floor panels.

 (3)  Examine the rounded flanged lip on the lower support bracket assembly, does it point forward (View A-A, Fig. 502)? (a) No, remove the lower support bracket assembly and install it with the rounded flanged lip on the bracket pointed forward, this will help to move the duct about 0.14 inch more outboard. 1) If the duct interference problem with the web and doubler at the access cutout for the aft pressure bulkhead is still not cleared, continue on to the next step. (b) Yes, continue.

 (4)  Loosen all V-band couplings on the APU supply ducts forward of the aft pressure bulkhead between STA 978 and STA 1023.

 (5)  Loosen the support clamps at STA 927 and STA 967.

 (6)  Remove the coupling from the lower support bracket at STA 1016.

 (7)  Move the lower support bracket up to allow the duct to move more freely.

 (8)  With the duct assembly in an unrestrained state, put a temporary shim (0.20 inch thick) between the duct and the forward-inboard side of the pan assembly (View B, Fig. 502).
