Install the sense line connector (2).

TORQUE the sense line connector (2) to between 0.95 and 1.05 m.daN
(84.07 and 92.92 lbf.in).

Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (14).

Make sure that the electrical connector is clean and in a correct condition.

B. Installation of the Air Duct
(1)
Remove the protective covers from the air duct assembly.
(2)
Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Lubrication of the O-ring WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE
_______ THIS/THESE MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK.
(a) Apply a small amount of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-007) to the o-ring (15).
NOTE : This is a molybdenum disulfide powder.
____ Before you can apply it you must first make it into a paste. To do this you must mix the powder with pure water or white spirit.
(4)
Put a new o-ring (15) in position on the air duct flange.
(5)
Put the air duct assembly in its correct position and attach the v-clamps (1) and (3) but do not tighten the clamps.
(6)
Put the three support rods (9) in position on the brackets on top of the duct.

Install the bushings (5), the bolts (4), the washers (8) and the nuts (7).

TORQUE the clamp (1) to between 0.4 and 0.5 m.daN (35.39 and 44.24 lbf.in).
(9)
TORQUE the clamp (3) to between 0.81 and 0.93 m.daN (71.68 and 82.30 lbf.in).
(10)
Put the bonding strap (11) in position and install the bolt (10), the washer (12) and the nut (13) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(11)
Remove the blanking cap from the sense line connector (2).
(12)
Install the sense line connector (2).
(13)
TORQUE the sense line connector (2) to between 0.95 and 1.05 m.daN

C. Post Installation Measurement and Adjustment
(1)
At the sleeve (26):
-make sure that the dimension X is 160.5 +3.5 -3.5 mm (6.3189 +0.1377 -0.1377 in.).
(2)
At the support rod (9):
-make sure that the dimension V between the support rod (9) and the bracket (22) is 1.2 mm (0.0472 in.) minimum.
(3)
If necessary adjust the support-rods to get the correct dimensions V and X:
NOTE : Normally it is only necessary to adjust the aft support rod.

(a)
Bend the tab washer (16) away from the lock-nut (17).
(b)
Loosen the lock-nut (17).
(c)
Remove the rod eye (18) and install a new tab washer (16) on the rod eye thread.
(d)
Install the rod eye (18).

(e)
Turn the rod eye (18) clockwise or counterclockwise until:
-
the dimensions V and X are in the correct limits and
-
the screw (4) can still easily be installed.
(f)
Make sure that the threads of the rod eyes (18) are deep enough in the support rod (9).
NOTE : If you cannot push a needle or equivalent through the
____ inspection holes, the rod eyes are deep enough in the support rod.
(g)
Tighten the lock-nut (17).
(h)
Bend the tab washer (16) to safety the lock-nut (17).
