The Denizkizi, ‘Mermaid’ Hotel, and the
Denizkizi Royal overlook what is arguably
the most attractive sandy beach in the area.
The hotels are family-run, the owners, Niyazi,
something of a local character, and his son,
Ahmet, also own one of the best known
kebab restaurants in the area. The hotel
restaurant serves both international cuisine
and local specialities, such as the delicious
Cypriot roast lamb cooked deep in a well.
There is a snack bar situated next to the
beach which is reached via a flight of steps
from the hotel.
Water sports are available in the high season,
although these are under the management
of a separate company. The large swimming pool is probably one of the best in Kyrenia. Sun
loungers and shades are available on the surrounding sunbathing terraces and drinks are served
from the pool bar. Nautilus diving club operates from here.
