Install the Main Static Inverter

 (1)  
Install the main static inverter in the E-30 equipment rack (Ref 20-11-22/401).

 (a)  
Tighten the self-locking nut on the + (positive) terminal of the static inverter to 140 +/- 5 inch-pounds.

 (b)  
Tighten the self-locking nut on the - (negative) terminal of the static inverter to 70 +/- 5 inch-pounds.

 (2)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6 Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6K2 MN BAT CONT INVERTER PWR
 2) 6K5 TRU - CONT INVERTER PWR

Do a Test of the Main Static Inverter

 (1)  
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Do a test of the main static inverter:

 (a)  
Make sure the BATTERY switch, on the P5 panel, is set to ON.

 (b)  
Set the STANDBY POWER switch, on the P5 panel, to BAT.

 (c)  
Make sure the main EICAS screen operates correctly.

 (d)  
Get access to the EXISTING FAULTS page for Chapter 24 (if any) on the CMCS (Ref 45-10-00/201).

 (e)  
Make sure the EICAS messages for the main static inverter do not show.

 1.  General

 A.  This procedure has these tasks.
 (1)  
Removal of the APU Standby bus transfer relay (R7853).

 (2)  
Installation of the APU standby bus transfer relay.

 B.  
The installation task includes an operational test of the relay.

 C.  
The relay is installed in the P6 (main power distribution) panel. The P6 panel is on the right side of the flight compartment.

Make sure all electrical power is off (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the STANDBY POWER switch, on the P5 panel, is set to OFF and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Make sure the BATTERY switch, on the P5 panel, is set to OFF and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Open the access doors for the P6 panel.

 (5)
Disconnect the electrical connector (DR7853) from the relay.

Remove the three screws that attach the relay to the socket in the P6 panel.
