Water flow in the sprinkler/foam system installed in the RAC QTA generates a general alarm on Level 1 and Level 2 of the Long Term Garage after a 90 second delay.
D. Air Cargo Building
The Air Cargo Building has an annunciator panel located in the north equipment room that is accessible by HCAA personnel. The activation of a fire alarm device will generate a zone-specific pre-alarm in the Communications Center, which will escalate to a general alarm with fire exit strobe lights illuminated and a general audible tone at the Air Cargo Building if not acknowledged within five minutes. The General Alarm must be acknowledged and reset at the Air Cargo Annunciator Panel and/or reset in the Communication Center.
E. Airfield Maintenance Facility
The Airfield Maintenance Facility fire alarm system has the control panel located on the second level, south mezzanine, electrical room, Building #1 (main building). A second zone indicator panel is also located near the main entrance. The activation of a fire alarm device will generate a zone-specific pre-alarm in the Communications Center, which will escalate to a general alarm with fire exit strobe lights illuminated and a general audible tone at the AFM Building if not acknowledged within five minutes. The General Alarm must be acknowledged and reset at the AFM Annunciator Panel and/or reset in the Communication Center.

ANNEX M - EMERGENCY EVACUATION PLAN - LANDSIDE TERMINAL BUILDING
PURPOSE: To establish evacuation procedures for the Landside Building using Police, Fire and building tenants, minimizing the possibility of panic or personal injury.
A description of the Landside building fire alarm system is outlined in Annex L of this manual.
EVACUATION PROCEDURES: In the event conditions dictate that the evacuation of the Landside building is necessary, the following actions will be taken.
A. Communication Center:
1. Will make the following announcement to all locations in both English and Spanish using the Public Address System:
"Your attention please. This is an emergency message. Please evacuate this building immediately through the nearest exit and do not attempt to re-enter until instructed to do so by the Aviation Authority.”
The announcement will be repeated at one minute intervals until such time the Landside building has been evacuated to the satisfaction of the Incident Commander.

Notify Parking to close entry lanes to the Short Term Parking Garage.
3.
All shuttle cars will transit to the airside buildings, be placed in "manual" and parked. Also, make an orderly stop of the monorail system. The monorail cars will transit to the garage and be parked.

Elevators are not to be used for building evacuation. All elevators will be brought to the Baggage Claim level and removed from service unless incident is in Baggage Claim, then the elevators will be taken to the second floor/Ticketing.

When the notice of re-entry is received from the Incident Commander, notify Parking to reopen entry lanes to the Short Term Parking Garage.
Notify tenants and airsides that entry to the Landside Terminal is now permitted.
Return all elevators, shuttle cars, and monorail cars to normal operation.
B. Airport Police:
1.
Direct an orderly evacuation along with Fire Rescue personnel and tenant safety officers.
