Get access to cables AA and AB on the right or left side.

 (a)  
Do this task to get access above the seals: "Floor Panel Removal" (AMM 53-21-02/401).

 NOTE: The floor panels you remove are above the ceiling of
____ wheel well for the wing landing gear. It is approximately 6 feet to the right or the left of the keel beam and aft of STA 1245.
 (b)  
Get access below the seals from the wheel well for the wing landing gear.

Remove the Aileron Raised Control Cable Air Pressure Seal

 (1)  Disconnect the control cables at the turnbuckles adjacent to the input quadrant.
 NOTE: A light tension on the cable at all times is necessary while
____ the cable is disconnected. This will keep the cable on the cable pulleys.

 (2)  
Remove the air pressure seal (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Remove the two seal retaining bolts, nuts, and washers.

 (b)  
Remove the seal plate and the seal cover from the top and bottom surface of the pressure deck.

 (c)  
Cut the shrink sleeve from the seal.

 (d)  
Remove the seal halves from the control cable.

 (e)  
Remove the seal from the hole in the pressure deck.

 (f)  
Remove the seal from the cable.

Install the Aileron Raised Control Cable Air Pressure Seal

 (1)  Lubricate the cable with grease for the full length of travel of the seal.
 NOTE: Do not fill the seal with grease.

 (a)  Remove the unwanted grease from the cable.

 (2)  
Install the air pressure seal (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Push the tube through the seal plate.

 (b)  
Make sure the smaller gasket of the seal plate is against the spherical end of the tube.

 (c)  
Put the shrink sleeve on the tube.

 (d)  
Install the cable end through the tube assembly with the spherical end of the tube pointed down.

 NOTE: A rigid wire attached to the cable end can make for
