Under the lavatory, put the cable assembly approximately in its installed positon.

From inside the airplane, put the service panel end of the cable assembly into the service panel.

Loosely install the external shim, washer and locknut.

Adjust the external and internal shims to align the cable assembly in the correct direction.

Tighten the external locknut and install the lockwire.

For cable assemblies that attach to a mounting bracket under the lavatory,

 (a)  
Hold the top washer and locknut in position above the mounting bracket and put the cable assembly through the mounting bracket.

Put the cable assembly through the grommet.

 (c)  
Apply the sealant (AMM 20-30-11/201) and push the grommet into the drop pan.

 (d)  
Tighten the top locknut.

 (8)  S 424-087For cable assemblies that will have the sleeve subassembly attached to the lavatory floor or drip pan, (a) Put the cable assembly through the lavatory floor or drip pan.
 (9)  S 424-088Install the clamps that hold the cable assembly on the drain line.

 (10) For cable assemblies that attach to the mounting bracket on the toilet tank:
 (a)  
Put the cable assembly thorugh the crease beam and move the assembly through the lavatory partition.

 (b)  
Put the grommet or gasket and removable plate on the cable assembly.

 (c)  
Put the washer and locknut on the downstream side of the sleeve subassembly.

 (d)  
Adjust the locknut to the position that allows the washer to be just downstream from the center of the threaded section.

 (e)  
Put the cable assembly in the mounting bracket and install the washer and locknut.

 For cable assemblies that have the sleeve subassembly in the floor or drip pan, install the seal, washer and locknut.

 If a pulley is installed on the downstream side of the cable quick-disconnect, put the cable through the pulley.
