Energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits from the External Power De-energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits Supplied from the External Power Removal of the Ground Auxiliary Power Control Unit (GAPCU) (24XG) Installation of the Ground Auxiliary Power Control Unit (GAPCU) (24XG)
R (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power R (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
R 4. Fault Isolation

R A. If it is not possible to connect the external power source to the
R aircraft electrical network and if the fault symptom is identified by the
R CFDS message WRG:EXT PWR PIN E INTERLOCK/ GAPCU (24XG):
R - do a check of the wiring of the external power interlock-control for an
R open circuit or a short circuit between the pin E and the cord plug of
R the external power source.

R (1) If the wiring is not correct:
R - repair or replace as necessary.

R (2) If the wiring is correct:
R - do a check of the wiring of the interlock control (Ref. ASM 24-R 41/01) for an open circuit, a short circuit or a short to ground
R between pin E of the external power receptacle (20XG) and pin B/11E
R of the GAPCU.

R  (a) If the wiring is not correct: 
R  - repair or replace as necessary. 
R  (b) If the wiring is correct: 
R  - replace the GAPCU (24XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-000-001) and 
R  (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-400-001). 
R  B. Do this procedure to make sure that the system operates correctly: 
R  (1) Energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits from the external power 
R  (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002). 
R  (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power 
R  (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

R A. Test Operational Check of GAPCU via CFDS Removal of the Ground Auxiliary Power Control Unit (GAPCU) (24XG) Installation of the Ground Auxiliary Power Control Unit (GAPCU) (24XG)
R (1) Do the BITE test of the GAPCU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-740-002).
R (a) If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED: R - do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.A.
R (b) If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED: R - do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.B.
R 4. Fault Isolation

R A. If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED:
R - push the line key adjacent to the TEST FAILED message.

R (1) If the maintenance message GAPCU (24XG) comes into view:
R - replace the GAPCU (24XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-000-001) and (Ref.
R AMM TASK 24-41-34-400-001).

R B. If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED:
R - do a check of the pin programming wiring (Ref. ASM 24-41/01) of the
R GAPCU:

R . pin A/4G connected to ground

R . pins A/3E, A/5E and A/5A not connected.

R  NOTE : The wiring diagram of the aircraft interface with the pin____ 
R  programming connections is necessary to do the trouble shooting 
R  procedure. 
R  (1) If the wiring is not correct: 
R  - repair or replace as necessary. 
R  (2) If the wiring is correct: 
R  - replace the GAPCU (24XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-000-001) and (Ref. 
R  AMM TASK 24-41-34-400-001).
